Missoula is nestled in the Northern Rockies of Montana, surrounded by seven wilderness areas and at the confluence of three rivers, which makes Missoula known for its blue-ribbon trout fishing. Missoula is a perfect location for outdoor enthusiasts where people can hike, kayak, raft, golf and ski within a few minutes of downtown. Missoula is also an hour away from the Flathead, Salom and Seeley lakes, which offer a variety of activities for everyone.
Missoula has a population of 74,822 people in the Garden city. It is also home of the University of Montana which has just under 10,000 students. Missoula still has that small Montana feel and people love to call it home!
The weather in Missoula is similar to the rest of the state, dry hot summers and cold snowy in the winters. Montana typically receives quite a bit of snow and Missoula is no different. But the nice part about Missoula is the ability to take advantage of all the winter activities.
